1. In the case of Company A
Company A is a parts manufacturer. Some customers request to submit
final inspection records in the designated forms by the customers. The
company has final inspection records by their own uniformed forms corresponding
with ISO9001:2000 requirements, irrelevant to customers. So the records
specially requested by some customers are duplicated and wasteful.
If the company deals those documents in its ISO9001:2000 management
system, its system will be very vulnerable to the customersf system
changes.
Therefore the company has handled the documents as documents of outer
origin.
2. In the case of Company B
Company B is also a parts manufacturer. Like Company A, it has documents
as requested by some customers.@But it did not handle those records
in ISO9001:2000 system or outer origin.
At a surveillance assessment, an assessor pointed out that such records
should be handled in ISO9001: 2000 system.
Finally the company decided to deal with the documents as outer origin
as company A does. |
