Company S accepted two minor nonconformities pointed out by an assessor
of Certification body B at the assessment with the signature of the
management representative. So he had to write causes and corrective
actions for the nonconformities and submit them to Certification body
B.
After the assessment he found out that the nonconformities could
not be identified in terms of the specific requirements (shall) of
ISO9001: 2000. So he wrote causes and corrective actions as shown
under by two tables (written by block letters).
As for management review, the descriptions of quality manual were
almost the same as that of Company T mentioned in gDoes
documented procedures required for a management review? Sep.5w,2004h
of Individual clauses relating ISO9001: 2000 corner on this web-site.
1. As for 5.6.3 clause gManagement review outputh
| Nonconformity |
| No descriptions of three items a), b), c) in the quality
manual. |
|
| Cause |
| I (the management representative)
did not understand the 4.2.1 clauses so well that I
accepted the nonconformity at the assessment in spite
of no specified requirements that the quality shall
include the sentence of a),b),c) of 5.6.3 clause. |
|
| Corrective action |
| I studied the Standards carefully and found
that the nonconformities could not be identified in terms
of the specific requirements (shall). Therefore I do not
revise the quality manual and handle the nonconformity
as an observation. |
|
2. As for c) guse of suitable equipmenth in 7.5.1
clause
| Nonconformity |
| No scheduled legal inspection for a forklift. |
|
| Cause |
| I (the management representative)
did not understand the 0.4 clause of Introduction so
well that I accepted the nonconformity at the assessment
in spite of the prescription that this International
Standard does not include requirements specific to other
management systems, such as those particular to environmental
management, occupational and safety management, financial
management or risk management. |
|
| Corrective action |
| As the result of my study on the 0.4 clause
of Introduction, I have found the legal (The occupational
and safety Law) inspection of a forklift is a matter of
occupational and safety management (I hear OHSAS 18001
is under examination). Therefore I understand the nonconformity
for quality management has no basis and handle the nonconformity
as an observation. |
