1. My question
I wonder why fruitless ISO9001 assessments occur frequently.
Assessors come to business scenes for assessments, but often they behave
as if they do not have basic business disciplines. They might be business
elite, because generally they have good back grounds. But they often
betray the anticipation. Most of them have the paradigm (referred to
gTwo different paradigms related toISO9000:Mar.1w, 2003 in Basic knowledge
corner of this website). Why?
2. Mr. Tomiyamafs essay on Asahi daily news paper
The article gives me an answer for the question of mine. Mr. Tomiyama
is a consultant for regeneration of companies close to bankruptcy, not
a specialist of ISO9001 and ISO14001, but the article can be applied
to the ISO field.
It is so long article that I pick up some of passages as follows.
gI went to a business school in USA at my early thirty. At that time
I think that if some one want to understand business, it is better
to run a Chinese noodles stand than study on desk, worrying how to
set selling price such as \500 or \700 per a dish to gain a profit.
After then I came back to my company in Japan, but the thought of
running a stand is relevant. Because in order to handle the matter
of regenerating the companies it is highly required to have business
background acquired from unrefined business site experience. It is
often implicit knowledge or paradigmh.
He recommends gaining the knowledge or paradigm for business elite.
I think for an eligible assessor it can be allied.
