Registration of ISO14001 of a hotel for business persons

Recently I stayed one night at a hotel which has ISO14001 registration.
It has no furnished toothbrush, razor, soap, tissue paper box teakettle, small refrigerator, pajama and mirror except its bathroom. They are furnished with common hotels in Japan.

It may influence satisfaction of customers (visitors at the hotel) due to its low service level. Of course they pay lower by about 15% than ordinary hotels.
But I think true what customersf satisfaction the hotel gives should be to make visitors participate in protecting the environment from destruction.

I requested a person at the front desk to give me a document of its environmental policy. It says as follows.

Environment policy

We supply customers clean and safe lodging facilities with kind services and rational prices.
And we supply necessary things with necessary quantity and thus make less customersf burdens according to the beneficiary payment principle.
However we consume natural resources and energy and discharge polluted water and materials.
We recognize the status and commit to do continual environmental maintenance activities to keep local and Earth environment.


The above policy, I think, lacks clear requests for customers about participation in their environmental activities. Strong request for involvement in lessening any type of pollution or waste should be emphasized.
