Integrated Quality manual for small businesses. (2001,Nov.4w)
Two of my clients (Company A and B) with about twenty employees have been preparing for integrated manuals in which ISO9001: 2000 and ISO14001: 1996 are unified. The title of the manual is "Quality and Environmental manual" . It has no management procedures. The procedures are absorbed in the manual.
Company A got ISO9000: 1994 in 1999 and now has been rewriting Quality manual for 2000 version. Therefore it is easy to combine the both Standards, because ISO9000: 2000 has made with the same structures as ISO14001: 1996.
Company B has no certification of ISO9000s. From the start it challenges simultaneous certification of the both Standards with the integrated manual.
Both companies will get the certification next spring.
